capacity problem - Voyager GT 16GB

Recommended Posts

I have very strange problem with my 16GB Voyager GT.

Today I couldn't access the files on my drive so decided to format it. Generally I use NTFS file system but this time the following message appeared:

"The second NTFS boot sector is unwriteable.

The first NTFS boot sector is unwriteable.

All NTFS boot sectors are unwriteable."

So it was impossible to use NTFS and I tried FAT32 but it showed 1 986 560 KB in bad sectors.

After several tries now the situation is that it is possible to format it without any problems (either in NTFS or FAT32) but it shows only 13 856 768 KB total disk space.

How to restore the original capacity???

regards

Rafal

Please try and format the drive with the Format utility from the SD-CARD Organization. Then run the test again and see if that helps.

If you still have problems we can get it or them replaced, please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

Case number is 884455

BTW - In the past I created two requests for cap replacemet, one in the previous year (around October) and another one on January 5th this year - unfortunately I have never received a replacement cap :-(
