Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 5, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 5, 2009 Test the system with 1 module at a time to see if you have 3 working modules.

Wired
Which motherboard do you have? You state one in your post, but a different one in your profile. Does the BIOS show all 3 GB?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 16, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 16, 2009 What O.S are you using and how much memory is on your Video card or cards if you have more than one?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 17, 2009 How much memory is shown in the BIOS and I would talk to the Graphics card maker about that.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 17, 2009 What you are seeing is because of the 32bit OS. You'll need a 64bit OS to solve this issue. Your motherboard is being allocated approximately 1GB of MMIO space and your video card is taking up the other 1GB. Please read about MMIO and 32bit vs 64bit OSs at the link below, see AN804 and AN806: http://www.corsairmemory.com/appnotes/default.aspx
tigernight
I have checked the Bios systemic information , It showed only 2GB of ram also It displayed that all the 3 ddr3 are installed in their slots ..!!!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 17, 2009 I would talk to the MB maker and see what they say but it sounds like there is some other problem.
lorenzol
Normally Vista 32-bit only supports up to 2-3 gigs of RAM. But if you are completely positive that it is compatible, follow these directions: 1) Open up the start menu 2) Type in : msconfig 3) Click on msconfig 4) Click continue in the UAC if applicable 5) Click the boot tab 6) Click " Advanced Options" 7) Under "Maximum Memory" either set the amount of MB, or untick it 8) Click Ok, and Ok again 9) Restart the computer, and check to see if Vista recognizes it *10) if this fails, check to see if you inserted your ram correctly Your Welcome if this works
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 18, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 18, 2009 Normally Vista 32-bit only supports up to 2-3 gigs of RAM. Actually, this is not entirely correct. I have checked the Bios systemic information , It showed only 2GB of ram also It displayed that all the 3 ddr3 are installed in their slots ..!!! Contact your motherboard maker. You either have a bad memory slot or there is an issue with your BIOS.
borg2009
Hi tigernight i have a msi eclipse sli i think you may find it a good idea to go to http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=html&name=forum they have a forum for our i7 boards it may also be the fact that you need to upgrade bios one other thing are you using the black slots on the motherboard if you are not then you need to populate the black slots first. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 26, 2009 Also you might try and set the memory Voltage to 1.6 Volts and see if that helps.
