FrankieSuperRed
Hi All, Specs: Samsung 2333SW Corsair TX650W Amd AM2+ Phenom 2 x4, Quad-core 940 ( 3.0Ghz ) GIGABYTE® GA-MA790X-DS4 "S Series" 790X+SB600 Chipset 2X Western Digital CAViAR GP WD5000ACS 500gb 2X Transcend® JetRam™ High-Performance 2GB DDR2-800 CM RC690 CHASIS W/O PSU LG GH22LS10 Vista Home Premium 64bit Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I really need some help concerning the Corsair TX650W and HD 4870X2 :o:. With my current specs and the impending purchase of a HD 4870X2 would the PSU be enough or would I have to up it. I've read reviews that say a 750W should be the minimum even though the ATI website states a Corsair TX650W is in fact the minimum  So basically what I'm asking is if with the current specs and the HD 4870X2, would the Corsair TX650W be enough? Thanks for any input!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 2, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 2, 2009 Yes, it will run that X2 just fine with your system. If you ever upgrade to a heavily OCed quad and add a few HDs you may want to go to a 750w+ unit. Also, you can always consult our PSU Finder: http://www.corsairmemory.com/psufinder/default.aspx
