Using channels 2 & 4..

Just wondered if I could use ram channels 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3. I have 2 x2GB sticks, would it make any difference?

The reason I ask is that I need to turn my Noctua CPU heatsink the other way round (blowing air through the roof of my chassis)so that I have room to attach water cooling to the Northbridge.

As things are atm, the ram in channel 1 would prevent me from turning the CPU heatsink the other way as the ram's heatsink is in the way.

Thoughts?

If you are running the memory at 1600, I don't think it will make a difference. The boards I have seen with statements about 1 set of slots being better for high frequencies are typically referring to much higher memory speeds.

Well I was thinking of OCing them at a later date and see if they can be used at 1800.
