Voltage issues on TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF

Ok, here are my system specs:

MoBo: DFI X48 UT T2R

CPU: Intel E8500 @ 4.2

Memory: TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF

GPU: 2 x ATI 4850

PSU: 800w tagan

The issue:

My memory refuses to work at 2.1v, if i try and boot with it at 2.1 It will not even boot to bios and i get the C1 code from my board. However when i drop the volts to 1.9 it boots and runs with no problems at all.

Any ideas what is going on?

2.1v is maximum voltage, not required voltage. Keep in mind that your DFI board is also known to overvolt memory.

Indeed. DFI boards have always been anomalies in the mainboard arena. You may want to test the memory in another board to see if it is mainboard specific or memory specific. That's just me though, I like to isolate events. :D:

.2V is still quite alot especially if i am running a 35% OC

Well i guses that is a good thing, RAM will just run cooler.....
