hi supporter,

my TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF can't work fine with MSI P45 Platinum.

you can see my spec in profile.

the two module can't be pluged as dual channel. the system will not boot and the board gives me a red-green-red-red debug light which means memory check error.

i flash the latest bios for the MB, but even worth, the 1.4 and 1.5 bios have problem with my processor (Q8200), so I choose the 1.3 version as the latest workable version of my MB.

i can use these memeories on my other MB(p35), so i think the memories is ok.

i have tried to search the form or google for solutions and tried some, but they all not worked.

i need your instructions about how to use this type of memory on my MB.

Thanks.

Please list all of the BIOS settings you have made for memory, CPU, and voltages.

Also, does you BIOS allow you to adjust the voltage to the memory controller?

i set them to auto now with 1.6b4 version bios. i have set the memory voltage to 2.1v, and they can work in single channel but dual channel.

cpu NO overclock, Q8200 with default settings.

anything else you need?

Download Memtest86+ V2.01 from--->

Download CPU-z from
.

Enter BIOS. Load setup defaults, save setup defaults and load these values:

Advanced BIOS Features

Cell Menu

DOT Control = Disabled
Intel EIST = Disabled
Adjust CPU FSB Frequency = 333MHz (1333Mhz QDR)
Adjust CPU Ratio = 7

Advanced DRAM Configuration = Manual

Memory Clock = 1066

Memory Timings = Manual
DRAM CAS# Latency (tCL) = 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) = 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge (tRP) = 5
DRAM RAS# Active to Precharge (tRAS) = 15
DRAM tRFC = 60
DRAM tWR: Auto
DRAM tWTR = Auto
DRAM tRRD = Auto
DRAM tRTP = Auto
1N/2N Memory Timing = 2N

FSB/Memory Ratio = 1:1.6
Adjust PCI-e Frequency = 100Mhz
Auto Disable DIMM/PCI Frequency = Enabled
CPU Voltage = Auto
Spread Spectrum = Enabled
Memory Voltage = 2.10v
MCH Voltage: 1.4v
FSB VTT Voltage = Auto

Shut the system down. Insert a single stick of DRAM into the second slot (closest to the CPU). Boot to the Memtest CD and allow for two full passes. If you pass, then shut the system down and insert the same stick in the fourth slot. Retest. If both sticks pass, then insert one in slot 2 and one in slot 4. Retest.
