dfifannick
....using the power button and hanging. But does seem to be rebooting from Windows ok. I am shy at this point to try setting any other higher settings in the bios but would like to get the system stable enough to have a little play around with. This PC is as quick as any LGA775 motherboard I have used.
dfifannick
:evildevil ..it has been fun for me and I have learned something so please.. :newbie: thankyou all ...boards require a native 24 pin 480w PSU Minimum of +12V@26A for Single Video Card Systems... The 2 power supplies I have used with this motherboard have 1. 15A on the one single 12V rail and... 2. 18A on the one single 12V+ rail. I am presuming if a Power supply has 2 12V+ rails then I can use a power supply with min. 13A on each of those rails.
dfifannick
:): The 3rd PSU I installed has a 30A 12V+ and the PC is behaving the same as it did with the other 2 PSUs :): Rebooting gives a blank black screen with a flashing cursor and I know I have seen that problem posted about before somewhere in my searches so I am going to research that. Using Smart Speed I have managed to save settings and reboot(one setting per reboot) with the saved settings but still get a blank screen with the flashing cursor during bootup but a second reboot gets the PC into Windows again ok :):
dfifannick
...alot of fun posting those beaut pictures os Smart Sped and the CPUZ reults...I foundthe motherboard is prone to problems from the first bios and have upgraded to the 704-3 beta bios and have adjusted most bios settings ok after setting one by one and some a few more by a few more and all seems well. :evildevil Thankyou. It is surprising that when a guy like me comes along who barely knows what he is ding or talking about that there is simply someone on the other end and just how much help that is and has been to me...thanks alot. Problem seems solved... :): :): :): :): :): :):
DerekT
LOL - I'll give you that you have a love of tweaking. I would have given up on the boards long ago, but I'm tied into quick results. Did you get both boards working with all components? ...alot of fun posting those beaut pictures os Smart Sped and the CPUZ reults...I foundthe motherboard is prone to problems from the first bios and have upgraded to the 704-3 beta bios and have adjusted most bios settings ok after setting one by one and some a few more by a few more and all seems well. :evildevil Thankyou. dfifannick
I did see a problem I am having with this board posted about not rebooting properly. I am trying to find that thread, it is somewhere else because thats where I am with this board now. Now this board willl keep bios settings after a reboot. It needs the Ram?FSB ...I think it is ...setting @ "by SPD" or it does not reboot ok as well., lol, I am in the middle of an America's Army game trying to crash this motherboard...I don't think I am going to though.... So there you go. Actually my situation is at home and recovering from a diagnosis of death by cancer for the last 9 years, and certainly not inactive years mind you....are most of my motivation to keep myself busy rather than a love of tweaking. I beat the cancer...by GOD.
DerekT
Good on you  1882, Nietzsche posited that God was dead. In 1900 Nietzsche died. There was a written addendum on his gravestone by some would be philosopher with a paintbrush. It said simply: Nietzsche is dead... -God
