I have an 8Gb Flash Voyager, just purchased. CMFUSB2.0-8GB A

When the drive is inserted, it is 'seen' by both Windows Vista & Windows XP machines, but not accessible.

Windows XP

Insert Drive

Get Message: USBest USB2FlashStorage (WinXP, WinVista, get a pair of messages)

Get Message: New Hardware Installed, ready for use

Double Click Drive

Get Message: Please insert disk into drive ?: (where ? is the removable drive letter)

The drive appears to be recognized but not accessible.

Can't open, can't format it.

Windows Vista

Insert Drive

Get Message: Found New Hardware

Get Pair of Messages Message: USB Drive being installed (??? don't remember exactly)

It was recognizable and accessible one time only. The first time I inserted it into a Vista 64 machine. After that it shows up (ie. is recognized) but you can't access it.

Every attempt to access the drive prompts the message:

"Please insert disk into drive ?: " (?: is the drive letter)

Computer Management/Disk Management utility

Shows my other USB drive as Disk 1 Removable (and shows the FAT32 partition)

Shows this one as Disk 3 Removable but NO PARTITION.

Pretty much you can't get to anything on the disk.
