davethezombie
Hi: I've seen lots of posts about the Intel DX48BT2 but haven't found a recipe that keeps the Vista 32 BSODs away with my configuration. I'm not trying to overclock or anything, just hoping to have my DDR3s running at top speed (1333MHz) with my processor & motherboard. My Q9550 Extreme (333MHz FSB) should allow for 1333MHz, but defaults to 1066MHz in BIOS with the following settings: tCL: 7 tRCD: 7 tRP: 7 tRASmin: 20 tRFC: 60 tRRD: 4 tWR: 8 tWTR: 4 tRTP: 4 Voltage: 1.54 Setting the overrides to 7-7-7-20-60-4-4-4-4 with a voltage of 1.70 (as seen in another post) still results in instant BSODs at login to Vista. Is there a "known good" configuration for this mobo/processor/DIMM combinaton? If not, can you point me to the right Corsair part to ease my pain? Thanks for your help. DerekT
Download Memtest86+ V2.11 from--->Hereand extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Download CPU-z from Here .Performance Host Clock Frequency Override = Manual x Host Clock Frequency (Mhz) = 333 Memory Configuration Reference Frequency = 333 Memory Frequency = 1333 tCL = 9 tRCD= 9 tRP = 9 tRASmin = 24 tRFC = 80 tRRD = 4 tWR = 10 tWTR = 5 tRTP = 5 Memory Voltage = 1.65v MCH voltage = 1.35v Command Rate 2TBoot to the Memtest CD and allow for two full passes. Then, if stable, enter Windows and run CPU-z. Post screenshots of CPU-z's CPU, Memory and SPD tabs.
davethezombie
Derek: Thanks man. I checked in to note that I typo'd some of my manual BIOS settings. Here's the correction (which still doesn't match yours): 9-9-9-24-60-4-4-4-4 V1.90. Thanks for steering me right - I'll update with my results. dtz
