skyblu
I just upgraded the memory in my cpu by adding two 2x2gb DDR2 Dominator sticks (Twin2x4096-8500C5D). I have a nForce 680i SLI motherboard. When I started the cpu I am only seeing 2.75gb. I am running Windows XP Pro 32bit an I understand that only 4gb will be used. I also read that the graphics card will take away from the memory. I have a GeForce 7950GT graphics card that has 512mb memory. Is there a problem here with the memory or is it really going to be that low because of the 32 bit system?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 12, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2009 Please read AN806: http://www.corsairmemory.com/appnotes/default.aspx This is in fact a limitation of the 32bit OS and not an issue with the memory. The only solution is to move to a 64bit OS.
