Hi,

I have revision 1.0 (latest -F6 bios) of this board and am trying to use

Corsair TWIN2x4096-6400C5 memory with it.

My machine regularly just resets itself (usually) when i'm working in VisualStudio.

This memory is meant to be compatible with the board. Could someone please give me the settings that I should use to get it to work hapily.

ps. have run memtestx64+ and worked ok

pps. running Vista

Thanks

shaun.

Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Shut your system down. Restart your system and enter your BIOS. On the main BIOS screen press Ctrl + F1. You will see the screen flicker. Next select the MB Intelligent Tweaker option. On that screen you will see many additional settings that were not there before.

Set to these values:

MB Intellegent Tweaker

DRAM Configuration = Enter

tCL (CAS Latency) = 5T
1T/2T Command Timing = 2T
tRCD (RAS to CAS R/W Delay) = 5T
tRP (Row Precharge Time) = 5
tRAS (Minimum RAS Active Time) = 15[/indent]

Leave all other Memory Timings to Auto

CPU Clock Ratio = 14X
CPU Host Clock Control = Manual
CPU Frequency (MHz) = 200
Set Memory Clock = DDR 800

System Voltage Control = Auto
CPU Voltage Control = 1.35v
DDR2 Voltage Control = +.2v
CPU Spread Spectrum : Enabled

Boot to the Memtest CD and allow for two full passes.

Results?

Hi,

a few quick clarifications:

1) Didn't swap the memory over - checked the manual and slots 1&2 are on separate channels.

2) the DRAM config was all on this via that auto - should i still set to manual? - presume not

3) In the voltage section, i now have a red flashing warning saying

"system voltage NOT optimised" and warning of potential chip damage

- is this ok ?

4) Do i need to change the northbridge voltage ?

5) i had no option for cpu spreadspectrum

many thanks,

I recognized this and changed the post.

You can leave DRAM timings to Auto if you wish.

You need to tell me what setting is showing this. If it is the DRAM voltage, do not worry about this. You are warranted for life of the memory up to and including 2.1v. I have you set to 2.0v

4) Do i need to change the northbridge voltage ?

I would set to 1.35v

i had no option for cpu spreadspectrum

Then bypass it.
