rdreader
I am planning on buying an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, a 3.4 Pentium 4, and adding lots of memory (I need it for a development PC). I was planning on one Twinx2048-3200 package and one Twinx1024-3200 package for a total of 3 GB of memory. I don't plan to overclock. Can I expect this to be a stable combination? I have occasionally seen people warn that large amounts of unregistered, non-EEC memory may be unstable. Thanks for your help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 14, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 14, 2004 I would not suggest more than 2.0 Gig of memory; unless you will be running an enterprise server O.S. WinXP will not cache more than 2.0 Gig of memory to programs so it might be a waste! However, this configuration should be no problem!
