1T or 2T settings-Big Performance Difference?

BONDQ

So I have TWIN2x2048-6400C4D memory (2 sets for 4GB total), and I know the appropriate timings are 4-4-4-12 2T, but I'm wondering what the appropriate "1T" timings would be on a EVGA 122-NF68 motherboard.

Would there be a large performance difference in switching from 2T to 1T timings?

Could someone better explain what the 1T/2T setting does?

I'm doing a minor overclock on an unlocked Q6700, but nothing that's pushing the limits. Standard cooling.

Thanks-

With Core 2 products usually one can not make the move from 2T to 1T. WIth the Nvidia chipset you may be able but it has been found that you will have to run at fully stock settings, and the definitive word is "May".

In a DDR2 system, with dual channel bank interleaving enabled there will be a more responsive system.
