denverandy
I've been having some intermittent problems with a MythTV system I have; slow response, freeze during memory check on reboot, other strange stuff. I don't think it's a cooling issue. I opened the system and tested the 520 HX with a power supply tester I have (Coolmax cheap tester from Mwave) when I plug in the 24 pin and press the test button, the power supply fan comes on, but the "-5v" led on the tester does not light up. Testing with an older spare supply I have the "-5v" led does come on. Should I RMA?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 28, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 28, 2009 Our power supplies are built to ATX12v 2.01 specifications, which does not include a -5v rail. The -5v rail has not been part of the ATX spec for about the last 5 years or so.
