Hello all. I am having a bit of a problem with my memory. I have 3x 2GB sticks of TR3X6G1600C9 along with an ASUS Rampage II Extreme board with the latest BIOS 1001. I would like to know why the ram on boot up show up as 1333MHZ instead of 1600 when set to Auto? The timings show up correct as 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65V Shouldn't it be deteced already at 1600 without me having to manually use X.M.P or memory level up? thanks.

No, you must set the values, either via XMP or manually because the i7 does not run default with 1600Mhz.

Enter BIOS and set values.
