kevinzag
I built my computer over a year ago and it has been running fine on the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Mobo with CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel RAM. I wanted to upgrade a little bit so I bought some CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel RAM to replace what I had. When I swapped out the old RAM for the new and booted up my PC, nothing happened. It turned on and all, the fans were going; but no response on the monitor. I put the old RAM back in and it worked fine. Is there some sort of compatibility issue I am unaware of? Or do I need to reset something else in order to get it to work? Wired
Reset the BIOS and set the voltage to 1.9v, and the new sticks should work just fine.
kevinzag
ok i did all that and it worked... for a while. Soon I started getting a ton of BSOD's and sometimes it wouldn't even boot unless i manually went in and reset the CMOS. what now?

kevinzag
I tried to do that but now every time I put the new RAM in the computer won't even boot. It'll only boot when I put the old 2GB RAM back in.
DerekT
What BIOS version are you using? If it's old, flash to the newest version as there might be BIOS updates for 2GB modules.
