Freeze issue on ASRock P45TurboTwins2000

Good evening everybody.

First of all I apologise for my english.

Let's begin with the issue.

I try to put the memory on 1333 MHZ with 1.83v (because my mainboard don't have 1.8V)

Timings - 9, 9, 9, 24, 2T

The system will boot BUT after some time (10-20 min) the windows freeze and I can do nothing on it except "reset".

I've made mainboard bios update (try several bios) but my problem is still here.

ps - If I put the ram on 1066 with 1.83v , 9, 9, 9, 24 the system work just fine (work like this around 5 days, 24/7)

Settings from bios:

CPU voltage - 1.25v (manual)

VTT Voltage - middle

NB Voltage - middle

PLL Voltage - middle

ps2- I left the system 2 days ago overnight on memtest and the results are good... 8 passes without any kind of error.

What should I do to make this ram works on 1333?

Also I've try the stability of my PC with DDR2 modules (2 x 1 gb) and all was fine.

Last test was with 1.87V on 1333mhz, 9,9,9,24,2T and still the same issue (with DDR3).

I need stability on my PC and I don't make any overclocking.

I use pc on a lot of video editing.

Anybody any ideea?

They will give you some suggest option in the BIOS,

If Corsair will tell me the same thing, then the game is on and im the ball on the field.

It sounds as if your board is not able to supply the correct voltage to run at 1600. This memory requires 1.9v to run at 1600

I try to put the memory on 1333 MHZ with 1.83v (because my mainboard don't have 1.8V)

You will need to run your system at 1066 due to the voltage limitation. However, you can try to clock the memory upwards from 1066 and see how fast the board can run it with 1.83v.

Sorry but... I've write on first post all the test i've made and also:

"Last test was with 1.87V on 1333mhz, 9,9,9,24,2T and still the same issue (with DDR3)."

should I go for more voltage than 1.87?

ps- I need only 1333 because I cannot go higher on that motherboard .

weird stuff.. but I solve my issue :)

All voltage are on middle (manual settings)

Memory - 9,9,9,24,2T (1.88v)

Processor - goes from 1.25v to 1.26 v

It was from processor voltage also, not only from memory voltage :)

Anyway, the sistem is stable 12 hours and this is a good thing :D

I also attach 2 print screens with my settings.

Have a nice day and who have freeze (random or whatever) try to give a little voltage also to the processor not only to ram ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi, I have the exactly same problem as you. I'm using the same mobo, but these RAM. I'm having serious problems getting it to run with 1333 MHz. The OS freezes - and sometimes even before the OS starts probably. I've tried some of the same settings as you've used, but still no stability :(

Can you or anyone give me a hint of what could be wrong? :)

hi, norbak.

first of all, try to make bios upgrade for the mainboard.

the last version is 2.0

after that set the voltage on 1.6v or more (1.66v) for the ram and also the timing you have to set it manually (9,9,9,24)

also you have to set the voltage for processor, like 1.25-1.26 and see VTT VOLTAGE - set it on HIGH and PLL VOLTAGE - also on high

NB VOLTAGE- I set it on middle

GTLR REF voltage - I set it on 0.63

Those are my settings for my crappy pc :)

ps- Usually my pc stay running 24/7 and till now I have no more blue screen or freeze with those settings.

My ram works with 1.8v and I set it on 1.88v but yours works with 1.6v.. soo, try to set it on 1.6v or 1.66v

Hope this will help you with the issue.
