SeaWolfxix
I'd like to use the VX550W power supply (CMPSU-550VX) with my motherboard. It says that it is ATX2.2 and ATX2.01 and backward compatible. My motherboard is an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131568). Will this power supply work with this motherboard? I'm under the impression that it will, but I wanted to make sure before I blow something up. Thanks! Wired
IIRC ATX 2.01 is older than SLI, so yeah, it should work just fine.
SeaWolfxix
On the list of "Connectors included in this package" on the side of the box, I don't see a 4-pin CPU connector, whereas my motherboard definitely has one. Is this a problem? Here are the connectors listed: - 1x ATX 24 pin & 20 pin compatible - 1x EPS/ATX12V 8-4 pin - 1x PCI-E 6 pin - 1x PCI-E 6 pin & 8 pin compatible - 6x SATA - 6x 4 pin peripheral - 2x floppy
