Wired
You have a different issue. Your tests show that you have no issues in single channel, but issues with dual / triple channel. This would indicate you may have an issue with your memory controller. To be safe, test your memory with memtest 86+ v2.11. Click here to add ALL of your system specs to your profile and posts! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2009 What color slots are you using for the memory?
kuracOne
What color slots are you using for the memory? the manual says: plug the first dimm in the Yellow/Orange socket (Dimm_A1) [info box] Due to intel spec definition, the System will not boot if only on Dimm is installed in dimm slot A2; B2; C2. [/] so 2 dimms Yellow socket A1 + B1... my System will display a Black screen at this config :D: 3 dimms Yellow socket A1 + B1 + C1... my System will display a Black screen too at this config :D: okay i tried A2 B2 C2... Tadaaa Black screen... :D: next step: 1 Dimm in A1.. Yeeeah its booting  second step: 1 Dimm in A1 + 1 Dimm in A2.. normally this doesnt work, but my system makes as an exception a normal boot.. last step: iam running my System with just 2 Dimms at 4gb plus if i not change DRAM settings in Bios, the memory will run at 8-8-8-20   some extra infos: when i installed all three Dimms.. the Mainboard showed up the blue LED light.. (Ram is working) something foocked up .. my guesswork.. the PSU 850w.. not enough Power, or the psu kill something, i guess CMOS, when i press the maintrigger from the PSU, and turn it on, boot up and so on, Bios came up to put in the Date, clock, and the config from the DRAM is deleted :D: i hate pcs hehe
DerekT
I have seen this issue before. I would move to RMA the mainboard. I don't think it is the memory controller. I think that the Northbridge that controls the banking of the DRAM modules is errored. Your information given: Your motherboard has an issue when populating with 3 modules and works fine with two. This shows that a slot is not working right in a 3 slot population, and works fine by itself and if only one of the other slots was populated. However when all three slots were filled (the orange ones...), it does not post, then I advise you to RMA the mainboard.

Wired
It's clearly not the memory. You have been recommended to look into RMA'ing the motherboard, or the CPU. It's your choice now.
