devil_Ray427
2nd time i turned it on, the leds and case fans came on for half a second then turned off. The power switch on the case would not do anything until i flipped the switch on the power supply. after doing this the fans would blink again, this was repeated several times until it booted up. has been running fine for several hours. Is this a problem waiting to happen???!!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2009 It does not sound like a problem with the PSU as it relies on the MOBO for the signal to turn off or on. If the PSU had a significant issue it should fail 100%. Please make sure you have the latest BIOS installed, and completely clear the CMOS and reset all settings after your flash. If the problem persists, do a thorough inspection for a grounding problem at the I/O panel or at the MOBO standoffs.
devil_Ray427
this problem got much worse, now it will not come on at all, pulled mobo to ensure no grounding issues, still same symptoms, put psu on old computer exact same problem, so it must be the psu
