atom heart
I'm trying to boot from my new flash voyager backtrack but it seems bios can't find the usb drive. I've tried other usb flash drives and it worked properly! is there a way to "reset" the default settings of the usb drive so that i format it from the begining ,cause the first format was made in gparted(ubuntu). thanks in advance
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2009 Please try and format the drive with the Format utility from the SD-CARD Organization and see if that helps.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 14, 2009 Did you have both drives attached at the same time? Also does the drive seem to run properly as a normal Flash Drive or did you do something to it with Unix? If so please try and format the dive with SDCard.org Flash format Utility. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2009 What file system did you use when you formatted the drive? You would have to use Fat32 or it may not be deteced by both of these O.S. Please try and format the drive with the Format utility from the SD-CARD Organization. Then run the test again and see if that helps.
atom heart
it was fat32! I reformatted it and worked but when i make a change e.g in mbr of disk it can't be found in ubuntu and it has to be reformated...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 21, 2009 The I am sorry it must be trying to change something that is not supported, I would use a Win9X Boot floppy and set the Flash drive in your BIOS like a USB HDD or Floppy and use the Win9x boot disk to make it bootable.
