STEPHEN HILES
Original Reply Was :I would suggest that you use Twinx2048-3200 as they would be a matched pair. Just use them in slots 1-3 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts. In addition, I would get the latest bios before you start as well! New Question : Does the AMD Athlon 64 3400 CPU support the memory described above as i have had a look at the cpu Spec and it says that this cpu only supportssingle channel memory would this cpu run dual channel support without any problems ??? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 12, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 12, 2004 Dual channel is a function of the chipset or CPU in this case. In addition, with dual channel it's important to have 2 modules that are exactly the same. However, with AMD64 (single channel) and AMD64 FX (dual channel), the memory controller is in the CPU and seems to be tempermental with miss-matched memory. So it to is important to have a matched set of modules when running more than one module!
