sgreen2k
Hi, I'm looking to upgrade the memory on a notebook. I ran the memory search but can't pinpoint the exact model. I was hoping you could help. Here is what i know. Model: HP Pavilion dv6500 OS: Windows Vista Home Premium CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-55 1.80GHZ I took out the ram and it says 512MB 2Rx16 PC2-5300S-55-12 I can kind of understand that it is 512 of DDR2-5300. I'm not sure what the 2rx16 is or why there is an s-55-12. There are two of them so i have a gig. Im looking to upgrade to 2gig. If you need more info i will do the best i can to get it. I just want to make sure it will be compatible and fast. Thanks!
Wired
Go to HP's website and compare that model against the dv6500t, as that model IS listed: http://www.corsair.com/configurator/corsair_custom.aspx?id=365130 I doubt the difference is much. sgreen2k
So it wouldn't matter that its an intel chipset and i have an AMD right?
