Cleitos
Hello guys, i have a big problem and i need some help here. I bought the TW3X4G1800C8DF Corsair 2x2GB, and when i set the DRAM Freq. further than 1600, i got awful lags on my games... The most weird thing is that, the ram passed succesfully at 1800, 1853 and 1901Mhz not only Memtest86+ but OCCt for 3 hours. Whats on earth is going on here?:confused: I've tried to increase dram voltage to 1.90, but still the same things. Any suggestions? DerekT
If you are passing memtest and occt, then your CPU<-->DATA system is stable. Increasing DRAM voltage on memory that is passing memtest is pretty much useless. Download Everest Trial Version from here -->Here Install Everest and right click on the (i) icon in the system tray. Choose Tools --> Cache and Memory Benchmark. Run the Benchmark and post the finished screenshots of 1600, 1800 and 1900. Hello guys, i have a big problem and i need some help here. DerekT
Clearly you have better memory access and load at 1800Mhz. Your system is quite fast in the read and write and the CPU speed is good, so if you have issues in gaming at 1800, there must be something else that is at issue. Possibly the overclock is effecting the PCI-e bus. Download 3DMark 06 and test to see what your marks are. I would say that your overclock is at issue. Not stability, but issue with 3D translation. Test with SuperPi. Keep in mind, you are stable on the CPU. You are stable on the DRAM translation so you can isolate these two as variables. You might do better to post in a forum that deals with overclocking. http://www.ocforums.com http://www.xtremesystems.com
Cleitos
I see... yes i've already ran 3DMark06 at 1800Mhz, the results are somewhere around 18000 as i think... But the matter is that, at 1800Mhz i have the same problem...When the 3DMark finished, i tried to play different games, but no luck. I tried to ran 3DMark again, but i couldn't, lags everywere! I have already ran PRIME for 18 Hours at 1900Mhz and OCCT Mix for 2 hours again at 1900... All clear, so the system is stable. At 1800 16 Hours Prime and OCCT for 2 hours, all clear too... Then you have some issue with the CPU overclock --> DRAM --> Drive Storage --> Video stream. I can't say where it lies, but it is in the stream of course. Just because you are CPU stable and Memory stable does not mean you do not have an issue somewhere in the stream. For example. I can run 4.2Ghz with 4 X 2048 of 1600C7 at 1600Mhz. It's fully stable. Linpack, 3D Mark Vantage, Memtest, etc. It does not play games with stability! I have to drop the stream to 4.0Ghz with 4 X 2048 with 1500C7 to get smooth gameplay. But each component is stable. Cleitos
Hey guys, im back... Well i managed to make the ram stable at 1801... I've increased the NB volt to 1.55v, and its ok no game lags etc. I tried at 1830 and 1853mhz then, but no luck...Are these rams so hard to overclock, or they not overclock at all above 1801? Has anyone similar experience with these rams? Thanks
