Hi all,

i have assembled a new machine for a my customer (so i have not insert any config information on my profile becouse is not my machine) with this configuration:

- TECNOWARE Glacier 600W Server

- INTEL Q8200 Quad-Core2

- CORSAIR DDR3 10666 (1600MHz) 2GB(2x1GB) DHX

- SEAGATE Barracuda 1TB SATA2 32MB

- Floppy disk drive 3.5" 1.44

- ASUS Nvidia GF9500GT 512M DDR3

- LG GGW-H20L BlueRay DVD±RW

- ASUS DRW-2014S1 20X DualLayer PATA

- ASUS Triton70 AMD / Intel 0.28 Rca

- MICROSOFT Windows VISTA HomePremium 32-bit

The machine freeze in various situation, also when only operating system work without any other program working. I have try to exchange the position of ram or work with only one dimm. But the problem is the same. The machin don't have particular problem or reproducible case for to freeze.. only "random". Someone say to me that for a ddr3 must to set bios setting manually but i have notidea. Can you help me?

Thank you,

Download Memtest86+ V2.10 from--->

Download CPU-z from

You have to perform a slight overclock of the CPU FSB to attain the necessary 1:1 ratio of CPU:DRAM. Insert a single stick of DRAM in Slot 2. Restart the system an denter your BIOS. Load Setup Defaults. Save Setup Defaults. Set to these values:

AI Overclock Tweaker

Configure Advanced CPU Settings

Shut the system down. Insert the second stick in slot 4 and boot to the Memtest CD. Allow for two full passes. Then, if stable, enter Windows and run CPU-z. Post screenshots of CPU-z's CPU, Memory and SPD tabs.

Hi DerekT,

the first thank you very much for your answer.

Then i have maked all that you say and this is the screenshot:

I have only two little problem. In DRAM Frequency = DDR3-1600MHz

i have only DRAM Frequency = DDR3-1601MHz and i have selected this option, and when i have restart the machine i have a error message for "overclocking not succesfull run setup ...." i entered in the bios i seen the the setting are ok and i chose discard (becouse nothing changed) and exit. Then the machin is started.

What do you this about?

Thank you again,
