thanos92
I currently have 2 sticks of CMX512-3200LLPRO but have issues where the PC will crash with both sticks in the mobo (EP-8HDA3+) and the mobo only has 2 DIMM slots. What is the difference between having the 2xCMX512 and TWINX1024? Would it be better to have a matched pair of TWINX? This is running in a EP-8HDA3+ mobo AMD 64 system (3200+). What is the Ram Guy's recommendation? Thanks for your help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 10, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 10, 2004 Yes, a matched pair would be best. However, I would test the modules one at a time with www.memtest86.com and lets make sure one is not failing. If they both pass you might try setting the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings to Cass 2-3-3-6 and see if that helps!
