GALGamer
:(: I am purchasing a Falcon Gaming PC and I was told that 4 Mg of Corsair is not compatible with Windows XP Pro that it would slow down my PC and that 2MG of Memory is better. Is this a fact? I'm new to all this. I would like to make a screaming machine.
CandyKid
I'm guessing you mean Gb (Gigabyte) instead of Mg (Magnesium)! Windows XP will not cache more than 2Gb of RAM for programs to use and because of chipset limitations, OS issues, and other hardware related things, 4Gb probably WOULD slow down your computer! In fact, sometimes 2Gb runs slower than 1Gb, it's all in how it's setup and very chipset dependant! If you want 2Gb, I'd suggest a TwinX2048 pack or for 1Gb a TwinX1024 pack. Get PC3200 if you do not plan on overclocking and faster memory (especially for Intel P4's) for overclocking! PLUR CK
