With Winbond chips gone, what's next for AMD setups?

Recommended Posts

Now that BH and Ch are not being made, and when Corsair and others run out of any floating stock, what if any will be produced for low latency chips at least as good a s CH 2-3-2-6 were? Anything new on the horizon?

Well it's hard to say at this point, But Winbond has agreed to provide a limited quantity of IC's to us for the next few months. Let’s hope they change their mind and start production again. Other wise we will have to find another IC.

In short: You can't. BH-5's havn't been made in quite awhile, to be honest, the best you'll find off the shelf is probably Rev C's, not B's. I think the CMX512-3500's and the 3200LL Rev 1.1's were BH-5's, the 3200LL 1.2's were Rev C's. If you can get into a micro-computing store and actually look at the modules, you might be able to find one of these, but no big store will have them (Newegg, etc) nor will they garauntee revision numbers even if they have a couple. You can still find them once in a great while, but it's a needle in a haystack. PLUR CK
