Vista Bluescreen CMX512-3200C2PT x 4 and ABIT AV8

I have an ABIT AV8, AMD64 3500+.

I have 4 sticks of CMX512-3200C2PT. I purchased them in "1 Gb kit" pairs about 6-months apart.

With XP everything worked fine. I started installing Vista today and as soon as setup reboots into Vista - boom. Bluescreen. The bluescreen appears to be in different locations each time and is never consistent. Sometime is just reboots w/o a bluescreen.

I removed the 'newer' pair of ram sticks (XMS3202v5.4) and Vista boots just fine. As soon as put the new pair back in - it chokes again. Bios memory test succeed and the BIOS DRAM configs are set to auto/default.

Any ideas? Bad ram? I'm thinking of junking all 4 sticks at this point and buying a new corsair 2 Gb kit to see if that fixes it.

Thanks - and happy thanks giving!

With 4 modules on that MB you wil;l need to run them at DDR333 at Cas 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.7 Volts and test with http://www.memtest.org Also You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. you can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com or SP1 installed for more than 3.0 Gig of memory.
