Hello folks.

I just bougth a HX620 from a local store and it has the same "clicking noise" (tic-tic-tic-tic-....) has described here.

Let me describe to you what happened:

I'm building a new computer, and as always when introducing a new PSU to my system, I test the PSU, to see if it is "alive", conecting it to the wall and starting it up with the classic green <-> black (ground) conection.

In this case, the HX620 start's up ok but imediattly I notice a tic-tic-tic-tic-.... sound!

I thougt ... "hummm sounds like the fan is touching something" ... but I stoped the fan and the tic-tic-tic-tic sound continues. It must be coming from some electric component.

I ask you : is this normal in this PSU? will the sound go away then the PSU will be conected to my system and being under load ?

The noise would not indicate a problem with the PSU. I would hook it up to the system and see if it is still clicking with a load on the unit. If the noise is loud enough to be bothersome, then we can try replacing the unit for you.
