I just bought my first usb corsair 8 Gb two days ago and i am not impressed by its perormance. I dont have a usb 2.0 port so I dont know whether my usb would work alright on that but i will check on it maybe tomorrow. Following is the result of the speed test I conducted.

HD Tune Pro: Corsair Flash Voyager Benchmark

Read transfer rate

Transfer Rate Minimum : 0.9 MB/sec

Transfer Rate Maximum : 0.9 MB/sec

Transfer Rate Average : 0.9 MB/sec

Access Time : 5.9 ms

Burst Rate : 0.9 MB/sec

CPU Usage : 3.9%

I have tried the command to format given in the previous posts but it doesnt seem to work, although ive formatted it by right clicking on the drive in my computer. Please help me out what should i do?

Please try to format the drive from a command prompt with this syntax:

Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager)

The write should be about 7-11 MBps and read should be about 29-30MBps.

If you still have problems we can get it or them replaced, please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

The test result given before by me was after formatting through the command you gave. Now what. I think sending the part to corsair isnt an option for me because mailing cost would equal the cost of a new usb stick. Isnt there any other option, there is an authorised dealer around could I get some assistance from them.
