as179Mike
I have a Abit IS7 MoBo with Corsair TWINX1024-3200LL 1GB DDR400 XMS3200 RAM in Dual Channel mode. I'm trying to get the board to run in Turbo GAT mode but it locks up every time when trying to load XP Pro. I can boot and run anything in the Auto mode. Right now my DDR voltage is set to 2.6V (althought I did try 2.7v and had the same results). I've checked abit's site and the forums aren't much help on this subject. Any help here would be much appreciated. Here are some other specs: P4 3.0C 800MHz 450W Antec PS Default Mem timings If you need any more information please let me know. CandyKid
The problem with GAT (Game Acceleration Technology) is that it changes the timings of your memory to pre-defined ones. I'd just set the timings manually to 2-3-2-6 (RAS to CAS = 3), a 1T command rate, and 2.7 volts for the best performance. I'll need to read up on everything GAT does, but it's not really paramount.
