TWIN2X4096-8500C5D, bad stick?

Dear Ram Guy,

I recently put together a new configuration. Everything worked fine for a couple of days, but then the trouble began: when i tried booting my computer, it didn't even beep and my screen remained in standby. I've tested each stick seperatly in each slot and one works perfectly, while the other one doesn't boot in either slot.

Bad stick i would think, were it not that everything worked fine for a short period of time, then nothing at all. Is this possible? Or am i pointing at the wrong suspect?

Thank you for your reply!

Kind regards,

Dave

Make sure you have the memory voltage set manually in the BIOS to 2.1 volts, and if you still have problems with the suspect module, then lets get the set replaced. Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
