teddyrux
I'm running a Toshiba Satellite A200 FT-5 laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit and wanted to upgrade to 4gb of ram from the 2gb that it came with. Everything was fine for a few hours, but then, the computer just shut down. I booted it back up, and after a few minutes, same thing. This happened over and over again. I popped in my old ram, it was fine. I then tried 1 and 1 to give me 3gb, that was fine. I tried the 2 corsair again, and it insta-shut down within 2 minutes of being turned on. Any ideas? I'm using: CORSAIR ValueSelect 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory
teddyrux
Now the same thing happened with just one Corsair 2gb sitting in (alone), but it took about 5 hours of the computer being on (and plugged in) as opposed to less than 30 seconds. DerekT
It looks as though that DRAM is not compatible with that model. Contact Toshiba online and see what they tell you is compatible.
