4gb shutting down my comp, 3gb is ok

I'm running a Toshiba Satellite A200 FT-5 laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit and wanted to upgrade to 4gb of ram from the 2gb that it came with.

Everything was fine for a few hours, but then, the computer just shut down. I booted it back up, and after a few minutes, same thing. This happened over and over again.

I popped in my old ram, it was fine. I then tried 1 and 1 to give me 3gb, that was fine.

I tried the 2 corsair again, and it insta-shut down within 2 minutes of being turned on.

Any ideas?

I'm using: CORSAIR ValueSelect 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory
