fenix_ds
Hello, I have been using for months an ASUS mobo M2N-E SLI with 2 matched pairs of TWIN2X2048-6400 G. However, my motherboard stopped working, so I had to replace it with an ASUS M2N-E. Will the TWIN2X2048-6400 G work with my new M2N-E mobo ? Thanks, Daniel
DerekT
Same mobo with Two lots of CORSAIR TwinX DOMINATOR XMS2-8500C5D 1066mhz 1gig x 2 (2 Gig) So that's 4gig altogether It is advised to drop the bandwidth when you are populating all four DRAM slots. DerekT
Thanks DerekT, my main questions remains though, will the TWIN2X2048-6400 G work with my new M2N-E motherboard? Yes, but be clear, there is no support for populating all four DRAM slots with this DRAM. Far better to go with Twin2X4096-6400 G which is a 2 X 2048MB kit. Regarding the memory itself: will Twin2X2048-6400C5DHX G (recommended by the Corsair memory selector) work better than the TWIN2X2048-6400 G that I already have. Or there will be no noticeable difference?

You do best with modules of the same integer version. For example 1.xxx with 1.xxx.
