TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF question

Good afternoon team,

As you can see, the initial weak spot to my build is currently my RAM. So I went ahead and purchased the following this month via NewEgg: TW3X4G1800C8DF.

The moment I installed the additional memory, it worked great for about 30 minutes at which point my PC crashed. I encountered several BSoD while I was unsuccessfully able to restore my PC back to full functionality. Once I removed the 4GB of RAM, I was eventually able to restore my PC back.

Now, what I didn't mention was that last month I purchased 2GB of RAM (exact specs to my current RAM). My PC did the exact same thing.

After reading up on several of these forums, I would imagine there are settings that I have to make to my BIOS to allow my MOBO to accept the additional memory. I currently have the DEFAULT settings mainly because, I'm new to the PC building and did not want to screw up my first investment due to OC'g gone bad.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

So:

ONE pair of TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF runs fine.

TWO pairs of TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF do not run fine.

ONE pair of TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF and ONE pair of TW3X4G1800C8DF do not run fine.

This is all at DEFAULT settings.

Question: did you set the voltage at all?
