TwinX CMX512-3200C2PT

I have been having an issue with one of my PC's BSOD on a fairly regular basis. The configuration of the PC is:

Asus A7N8X-X w/ Bios 1010 (most recent)

AMD Sempron 2400+

Corsair TwinX CMX512-3200C2PT 512mb x2

Radeon 9600XT 128mb video

400w iCute P/S

The PC has been a secondary system so I have never really cared about the BSOD. Recently I have had to utilize the pc on a regular basis and the BSOD has become an issue.

So far I have narrowed the issue down what appears to be the memory. I have 2 PC's both with the Asus A7N8X-X MB, the second PC has a Athlon XP 3200+. I have swapped out the memory in the 2 PC's and the issue follows the Corsair memory regardless of CPU, Power Supply, OS.

I have ran 3 diff memory tests (MemTest86+, Windows Memory Diagnostic, HCI Design MemTest) on the 2 memory modules individually. All 3 Diagnostic Utilities have found errors on both Memory modules multiple times.

I have also tried testing the memory allowing the bios to Auto select the settings for the modules, tested by SPD and manually configured the settings to match the settings I found listed in the forums on this website regarding this motherboard and memory.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Paul

Make sure you have the memory voltage set manually to 2.75 volts for these modules, and if you have the same issues then lets get them both replaced! Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
