UPS
At my flash card Corsair Flash Voyager CMFUSB2.0-8GB very low speeds of reading and record. After perusal of the given forum has written the letter in RMA: I’ve bought the flash Corsair Flash Voyager CMFUSB2.0-8GB. As forum http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php? f=171 recommended I’ve formated this flash by command (X:)/FS:FAT32/U and then try the HDBENCH v3.40, CrystalDiskMark 2.1 and EVEREST Ultimate Edition 4.20 to test the performance. Then I’ve tried it on three different computers with Windows XP SP2/SP3. I’ve got next results: the speed of read is less then 21.5 MB/s and the speed of write is less then 3.5 MB/s even though majority information advise that Read should be 23-31 MB/s and Write should be 8-14 MB/s. Why is the speed so slow? This flash has the same speed that the cheapest low-grade one. And why are not there a disk and a belt in the package? I have received the answer with the offer to replace a flash card. Has come to replace the answer with the offer a flash card. I live in Russia and post transfer to the USA is approximately equaled flash card costs. Questions: 1. Who pays flash card transfer? 2. Whether it is possible to pay in addition and receive instead of my flash card Corsair Voyager GT?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 20, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 20, 2008 Please try to format the drive from a command prompt with this syntax: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) Please try the HD-Bench software to test the performance. The write should be about 8-14 MBps and read should be about 23-30MBps. If you still have problems we can get it or them replaced, please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! UPS
I have already used the request RMA and I have received the answer with the offer to chage my Flash Voyager. I wish to understand, is it necessary to me to send the Flash Voyager or not because carriage paid is approximately equal to Flash Voyager cost. Will it carriage-forward or will I have to pay for sending?
First Light
Never heard of a company replacing an item without you first returning the item to the company at your cost. Otherwise, how would the company know that you actually have one of their items?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 22, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2008 UPS I am sorry some people on the forum are politically challenged, so I removed his statements. But yes I am sorry you will need to send the drive to the address they gave you in the RMA conformation email.
