planter345
Here are the screenshots you requested... Based on the screenshots, does everything look right regarding the memory? http://img157.imagevenue.com/loc697/th_70974_cpu_122_697lo.jpghttp://img203.imagevenue.com/loc43/th_70985_memory_122_43lo.jpghttp://img167.imagevenue.com/loc728/th_70989_spd-slot2_122_728lo.jpghttp://img214.imagevenue.com/loc587/th_70990_spd-slot1_122_587lo.jpg I did the memtest and did 2 passes with 0 errors Also, one other thing... Can someone help me figure out how to get the processor to run at full speed constantly? I disabled the EIST & C1E in the BIOS, but when I run CPU-Z it still reports the cpu running at 2 Ghz... Anyone know much about the BIOS on this board to help me? Thanks in advance! Dave
DerekT
Your system looks fine. Regarding Speedstep. That's an Intel board and they do strange things with their boards to disallow tweaking. I advise you to contact Intel to see what they suggest regarding this issue. You are not the only one who has this issue. It seems systemic to the board. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-166289.html

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 21, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 21, 2008 With 4 modules DDR1066 would be suggested and set the NB Voltage to +.2 Volts as well as you may need to add a bit more memory Voltage 1.8-1.9 Volts. planter345
Hello again... I need a little more help now that I got my system up and running... I have updated my Specs for my computer on the forum settings... Now my question, could you please tell me the exact settings I would need to set in my BIOS to accomedate 8 GB of this same type of RAM that is listed above in this Thread Title... What I am after is the exact same thing as DerekT did for me in the 4th post in this thread...but also incorporating the info RAM GUY put in the last post. Are you still around DerekT??? you were very helpful last time, could you help me again with my request... Thanks in advance... Dave
Wired
He's around :) Side note: How's the video card? I'm planning on buying 2 of them, probably this week.
planter345
The video card is great, I bumped up my power supply to 750 and got a new case to handle the new card.
Wired
I was looking at that case, but from what I've read, it could be a tight fit between the end of the video card and the HDD cage. How's it seem to you?
planter345
Between the end of the card and the end of the HDD cage is about a 1 inch space, however, I can't put a HDD in the middle or bottom slot of the top HDD cage because the connectors on the back on the hard drive + the amount of the HDD that sticks out beyond the HDD cage is too much. DerekT
Yes, for a four DRAM slot population, you are set correct.
