Chaw
Hello, My computer has been running fine for the last several months and all the sudden it wouldn't boot up. Made beeping sounds which pointed to bad memory. I am currently running 4 sticks of 1gb each. I pulled all the sticks out and tested each one at a time. One of the ram sticks would not boot up. Would not even post. The other 3 sticks booted up into windows just fine. So I assume that one is bad?? The ram specs are: Corsair Dominator CM2X1024-8500C5D. XMS2-8500, 1024MB, 1066MHz, 5-5-5-15. 2.2V ver4.1 Right now I am running 2 of the sticks. I understand that they should be installed in pairs, so I don't have the 3rd good stick in. Can you help? Thank you for your time.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 17, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 17, 2008 How did you purchase the modules? AS two Twin2x sets or one Quad set?
Chaw
Thanks for the reply Ram_Guy. Purchased as a Twin2x set. Not a quad set. I had 2gb and then added 2 sticks to get 4gb total. Haven't had any problems with them otherwise.
