skytrails
Memtest+ 1.7 shows one module bad (4000+ errors in less than 10 seconds). CM2X1024-6400C4. Was working fine for about 6 months then the computer suddenly started showing error reading DLLs, BIOS showed as corrupt, problems running setup CD, etc. All other MB components test fine except the memory errors screwed up the windows install
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 15, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 15, 2008 You will need to use the latest version of http://www.memtest.org with that MB and please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
skytrails
Yes, I have tested them individually. I plug them in one at a time into the same slot, testing with only one module. One works and one doesn't. I opened a case, but can't get an email for some reason...Case#11490.
