gramps
I need to know which of these modules would be better for the Asus P5KPL-CM MoBo. the XMS2 (2x1Gb) twin 2x2048-6400 one has 5-5-5-18 timings the other 5-5-5-12 both are 1.9V I am not going to be doing any gaming. No overclocking involved either.I just want to be able to install and boot up the Intel E5200 CPU.Thanks
DerekT
For that board, the ASUS QVL shows 667Mhz JEDEC standard DRAM. http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=2068&l1=3&l2=11&l3=563&l4=0 Then the standard shows 1066/800/667Mhz for supported DRAM. If I were you, I would go with standard JEDEC for plug and play with that board. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145098 E5200 has a 200Mhz FSB and will work very well with 667Mhz DRAM. Not overclocked, it is still faster than the CPU.
