Mightyconfused
Hi all, Was just after some advice regarding my new Corsair VX550PSU and Dell Dimension 8400. My friend recently installed this new PSU for me to power a Zotac 8800GT AMP Edition graphics card. I was wondering if I could add a 3rd hard drive and extra cooling fan to this configuration or would it tax the PSU too much? Computer: Dell Dimension 8400 Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00Ghz Graphics card: Zotac 8800GT AMP RAM: 2.50 GB PSU: Corsair VX550W 1 x Maxtor CD/RW 1 x Samsung DVD/RW 1 x Maxtor 150GB HD 1 x Samsung 180GB HD Netgear NIC card PCI Modem OS: Windows XP 32-bit Just wanted to ask, better safe than sorry I guess... Many thanks in advance for any help, Michael.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 15, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 15, 2008 The VX550 should leave you plenty of room for upgrades with your system, I would not suspect you would have any issues!
