mi2andrew
So I've had these 2 stick of ram for about a year now and recently I've been getting a lot of lockups. One day my computer wouldn't even post until I removed these 2 sticks of ram (btw they're the older 2.2 Voltage version while my other 2 sticks of ram are the newer 2.1 Voltage). I've tried running memtest but my computer won't even post with these sticks of ram inside so I'm pretty sure they're busted. The other two work just fine though (the 2.1 Voltage ones). Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2008 Please load setup defaults in the BIOS and make sure you have set the memory voltage to 2.2 volts manually in the BIOS. I would then test the modules one at a time in the slot closest to the CPU to see if you can isolate a failing memory module. If one of the modules fails and the other works, then we will need to replace both of them for you. However, if you get errors with both of them, that would usually suggest some other problem. If you can isolate a failing module, then lets get the pair replaced! You can use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.”
