msummers
I have a pair of Corsair 4GB Flash Voyagers, I use these Flash Devices to transfer files between my laptop and other computers. I am having a problem with one of the flash voyagers (Voyager#2) when I transfer a large size of data (one file or many does not matter) when the flash device in question disconnects w/o warning and Windows displays a Write Failure balloon on the taskbar about failing to write the data that I am transferring along with a message box that says the same thing. When the Flash Device in question does disconnect w/o warning, Windows evens mentions that it cannot write the $MFT data to the Flash Device. The other Flash Voyager (Voyager#1) works just fine by the way. Windows evens maps the second Voyager (F:) and the first one (G:). Would this also play into my connection issues? Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2008 Please try to format the drive from a command prompt with this syntax: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) If you still have problems we can get it or them replaced, please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
