gunvald89
Dear readers. I have had some problem with an unstable computer since I bought it. And I think it has with the timing on the RAM. In bios it says: First: 7-7-7-20-4-60-8-4, Second: 8-4-6-4-7-4-7. Even if I don’t understand a thing of that, I believe that some ting is wrong there. My memories should be at 9-9-9-24. I have the ability to change it in bios but what about all the other numbers? What am I suppose to do with them? I would be very pleased if someone could be kind and explain this for me. 007bont
when you set dram timing control to manual, you can input the numbers printed on your modules. apart from dram voltage and dram speed, you can leave the rest to "auto" Set dram speed to 1333 and as for the voltage set this to 1.7volts. you can use memtest to test these settings (run 2 full passes!) Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 1.8 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
