merin
Hello During this year I've experienced a lot of different problems and errors with my pc, and I have eliminated a lot of possible sources for the errors I get. However, I have no idea if there is a compatability-problem between my ram and my mainboard, so this is why I'm asking here. This is my memory and mainboard: Memory: Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's Mainboard: MSI P35 Platinum I have no idea if there is an issue between these two components or not, so I would be very pleased to know any specific information regarding my problems. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
