uffec
Hello! I´ve been trying to start my my new pc with ASUS P5Q3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP motherboard and processor INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHZ 8MB 1066MHZ with memory TW3X2G1600C9DHX after check with Corsair memory configurator 2 weeks ago they were listed as Enthusiast choice) but it look difficult to make it work. At start I always get black screen and all fans are on, If I reset the Cmos and start up I can either go to Bios set up with F1 or start an old WinXP installation by pressing F2. If I make any changings in Bios and save and reboot, it don´t start up again until I reset the Cmos again, and if no changings are done in Bios Reboot works and WinXP starts up. So now I wonder if you can help me to find the proper settings in Bios to make it work
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 10, 2008 The memory is definitely compatible with your motherboard, however the settings that you can achieve on the memory will depend on the overclocking margin of your CPU. Memory Frequency: 1066MHz Memory Voltage: 1.8v TCL: 9 TRCD: 9 TRP: 9 TRAS: 24 In order to run the memory faster than 1066MHz, you will need to increase your CPU FSB in order to get the memory to run faster. 333MHz FSB will allow you to run the memory at 1333MHz, and 400MHz FSB would allow you to run the memory at 1600MHz. cenit
I have the same motherboard and the same ram Here's the thread I've created; I have some problems too... And, moreover, if you look better, you will find that corsair has removed the ram as compatible with the mobo... http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=73070 http://www.corsair.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=589533
