alexanderd Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 how do i work out what size of PSU unit i require my present one is 400W and seems to give reading of -17 when it should be -12. why do i think i need a new PSU well occasionally my PC just powers off. can some one please help? Thank you for the info on how to check on recomendations for a new PSU which answers the first part of my question. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 13, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 13, 2008 Looks like the software is not measuring the voltages properly, which is often the case. If your 12v rail was really only supplying .83v, the system could not operate. I would double check the values you are getting with the readings from in the BIOS.
