Hi.

I have almost the same setup as you but using the

TWIN3X2048-1800C7DFING. XMP profiles doesnt "work" in terms of easy, atleaset for me, in either BIOS availible (301,401,403,404,501,601) so I could guess you could give up on that until a new BIOS is released. I can however run, in BIOS 601, them in a 7-6-6-20-1N at 400 with almost all auto except I dial in FSB and timings. vDIMM is at 1.8V. Also Ive noticed that the XMP profiles have settings that are not possible to manually set in BIOS (or atleast I haven't seen any settings looking like that). Ive been trying to set these at 1800 now for three weeks but I cant simply get them to stabilize. Im almost off to buy another pair. Ive used Corsair for 8 years now but Im loosing hope :[pouts:. Im all out of ideas by now and quite frankly very frustrated. Though Im not 100% sure its the dimms fault, but the BIOS and the compability issue between them. I also believe that the BIOS doesn't handle the QX9770 very well.

(Im sorry if I hijacked this thread, its just I thought there were aleady one thread so close to my issue).

That is not uncommon with the QX97XX CPU's try and set the tested settings manually and your CPU will have to be able to over clock to 450 Mhz most QX9770 CPU I have seen do not have that much head room.

I did and will try more. Perhaps you could clarify the XMP settings for me:

I can read for 1800 it should be 7-7-7-20, though there are more and its 41-99-0-6-14-7-7. The two first ones are impossible to set in the BIOS if I read them right. However you might be able to shed some light on it. I want atleast a 1800 stable configuration. I knew it would be a hustle but not this.

Thanx for the help :):

You can get the tested settings from the link in my signature and any setting that is not listed should be left at BIOS Default or AUTO.
You might look this/those setting /'s up on the BIOS Optimization Guide at Techarp and get a better explanation.
